Year and a half.... Weight loss zero?

I've been trying for a year and a half to lose weight... And I've tried every diet under the sun. Atkins, weight watchers, slimming world, cabbage soup the list goes on. So I changed my mind and started to change my eating habits to see if this would work, but to make dismay nothing happened. In conjunction with this I go to the gym 5 days a week go swimming once a week go running 3 times a week and do Zumba 3-4 days a week.... So I can't see why I'm still 15 stone.... I am living at the moment on chicken with no fat or skin vegetables, I have pasta with tomato sauce (brown pasta) and I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables. I don't has takeaways.... Pubs are different to restaurants. I would not allow my children to run around the seating area of a pub but most pubs have gardens and play areas. Pubs cater to two groups, day time and lunch time is geared towards families. The evening is for adults. A pub is a public house, it aims to have a more laid back and homely atmosphere, most pub landlords have children of their own and some of those that run around, are running around their own homes. I don't think they do, and even if they did I'm fairly certain they won't take PS2 games. I can't find a list for Smith, but if you look on the JB Hi Fi website you'll see they only take the latest games for trade in. My child is teething?

Well my 12 year old has one tooth thats growing in, its the last one and in the back. We went to the dentist, they gave her this gel to put on it, but she says it barely works and only lasts for about a half an hour and she can only use it 4 times a day. I don't know what to do because she says she can't open it very much, but she can't close it all the way either. I got her tomato soup for lunch and chicken broth for dinner so she doesn't have to chew. What can I do to help her? Is there anything I can do to make it less painful? Also is there anything I can do to make the broth taste better (its just plain chicken broth)?

Windows Xp Volume control Problem?

somehow my volume control panel dissappeared from my Pc i tried all methods of fixing it but i think the program got deleted i don don't have the cd that came with my PC to restore it but i have an image file made using norton ghost. this image file has all the files that were in my pc when i bought it i had made this copy just in case i lost the cd. the problem is that i don't know where in this image file will the software or image for the volume control is i tought about restoring my whole pc using this image file but i don't know how so can anyone plz tell me where would the file for the volume control is in this image file or how can i use this image to restart my pc i don't care if i hav to download all the programs i just need to get that program back because my speakers don't hav enough volume like before.?

Yes, freeze it in small batches. My great aunt did this all the time! Poor thing, bless her soul as she's just ped would do this whenever milk was on sale...she'd keep half gallon containers, buy three to four gallons(yes! Gallons!) of milk, split them up and freeze them. Then if she needed milk soon she just pulled a half gallon out of her huge freezer and put it in the 'fridge overnight and she'd have milk the next day.

So I was just wondering, should I just buy a lanbox and take my whole desktop with me or should I just buy a gaming laptop? Yeah, the catch is Subway had ALL of their footloongs for $5. When that ended they kept 8 footlongs at $5. Quiznos only has only 4 of their sandwiches for $5 and they are the sandwiches with the least amount of meat. Granted some of their sandwiches have more meat, but those are the sandwiches that are a lot more expensive. You can get a double meat sandwich at Subway and it would have the same amount of meat for a lower price the Quiznos.

Why can't I play HD .MOV files on my PC? What program do I need?

Hi! I filmed a few family events with my Canon 14.1MP PowerShot Digital Camera (SD1400IS). The videos are in HD and in MOV formats. I copied them to my computer but I can't seem to view them. On quicktime, I see a green screen and can hear the sound of the video but I can't see anything. VLC and WMP doesn't work at all. I even tried windows movie maker but that was unsuccessful too. What's wrong with me?

I am not a very shy person. I have a lot of friends who I am usually the loudest amongst, I talk to the girls at my school with confidence, and I can deal with being in crowds at movies, in the mall, etc. But for some reason, when I am forced into 'pep rallies', sitting in a large m of people in bleachers, surrounded on all sides and looking across the gym at another mive block of people, I get these mive 'waves of fear' - best way I can put it. They seem like sudden bursts of nausea, even though I don't actually feel it in my stomach. A gripping type of fear. I also get it when in the auditorium and surrounded by people, and sometimes in specific cles (only two, and not nearly as severely.) I've had a history of poor public speaking, reaching back to when I opted out of an eighth grade play lead-role and actually contracted shingles, presumably from stress over it. I try to avoid speaking to crowds. However, I don't show the regular symptoms of social anxiety. I don't have an issue in most public places, I don't mind being the center of attention among my peers and I have a good amount of confidence. I'm terrified about graduation coming up, surrounded by hundreds of screaming people and stuck in the center-floor and forced to walk in plain view to get my diploma. I don't know how college will be. What can I do, and what is causing this? I don't want to turn to medication for one day of my life but I fear it might be the only way I won't seize up, throw up or something among those lines.

Why does everybody think gasoline is the only fuel out there? Run the trucks on natural gas (methane), as my Crown Vic and F-150 pickup do. It's a whole lot cheaper and cleaner, and California even has natural gas filling stations available already. Plus, there's gobs of natural gas in this country, so we wouldn't have to line foreigner's pockets with cash every time we fill up. I've had my car and truck 2 years and I love not buying gasoline! Natural gas is only 93 CENTS per gallon where I live, by the way, plus I got a big tax credit for buying them in the first place. What's not to love? That's my 2 cents.

You'll probably be best served by renting a long 'plumbing snake'. That's a long cable-tool that is used to clean out drain-lines when they become clogged a distance from it's opening. Run the tool into either end of the down spout and use it to remove the clog. It's easy to use once you have it in place, self-explanatory.

Terps and Orioles Fans: National Anthem Tradition?

There is a tradition at Terps Basketball games of shouting "ohhh" within the national anthem ("...that our flag was still there...(OHHHH!)...O say"). This is done by all of the student section, and many other fans. The same thing happens, to a lesser degree, at Redskins, Wizards, and Caps games. I was told, years ago, that this was actually started at Orioles games with the yelling of "Os." This makes sense, but it seems it would be easier for a student section (at Terps games) to organize and create the tradition. I can remember the tradition at Terps games, as far back as 20 yrs. Recently, I've heard more and more fans say you should not shout "Ohhh" at Redskins games, as this is a "Baltimore thing." On New Years Eve, a so called friend slept over , and stole my 7ct tw diamond bracelet valued at $3,500.00. I know she did it, because it was just her, myself and my 5 year old at home, and the house was armed. We all slept downstairs by the fireplace, and at 2:35AM in the morning when I got up to use the bathroom, I took off my bracelet and placed it along with my wedding ring on a table nearby the couch I was sleeping on. By 9:50AM, when she asked me to disarm the house so she could leave, it was then that I noticed my bracelet was gone. When I asked her if she had seen it she said no. So I pointed to my rings and said it was there with my rings, but she said she didn't have it. I had gotten up before her and my daughter, and went upstairs and it was still there. She had tidied up downstairs, yet she said she didn't see or take it. I know she had a motive because the day before she had played her account info and her bank was negative, and she had no money. When she tried to leave, I called the police, but when they arrived, they informed me that they couldn't search her. She wanted to fight me if I approached her, and because we were warned that if we didn't stop fussing back and forth social services would be called, I told her to get the hell out of my house. I filed a police report, and although they told me that it was quite suspicious regarding the cirstances, they said they would get her for questioning etc, and probably file charges for theft over $500, but it has been a week, and I think they just dropped the case. It is very difficult to just know that this girl took my property and is hamming it up scotch free. What can I do to have her prosecuted? I know she probably pawned my jewelery, but knowing her,she is wearing it and it is not hers. I wanted to give it to my daughter on her wedding day,and it was a gift from my husband. Please help!! If you want to use the trains in this part of the world you better speak the languages. I live in Ukraine and would be VERY hard pressed to buy a ticket, read it, board, etc. without my girlfriend (who speaks Ukrainian). I can do well in Hungary because I speak Hungarian, but unlike airports, where all announcements are in the local language and English, all announcements in train stations are only in the local language. There is also a problem with crime on trains in Eastern Europe, especially since you're wanting to go to the "less-visited" parts of the country alone. In Ukraine, for example, you should buy a compartment with a door that locks, but that means purchasing tickets for at least one other bed (for which you will need another pport). You are safer to go with a tour group in this part of the world. Crime is not everywhere, but you need to be careful and not get yourself in a situation where you cannot deal with the language barrier. You can travel quite nicely for $500 for a week, but you have planned a little much I think for that week. Pick either Poland or Odessa and focus on that area. Find a reputable travel agency to advise you on tickets and purchase them for you. And make sure you don't get yourself in a place you can't get out of, just in case the worst happens.

I once read that the notion of god is imprinted on a child's mind just like, in the experiment with ducks, the babies believed that coke bottles were there mothers after being exposed to them at a critical age. The author when on to conclude "since children are unlikely to believe if they are not exposed early", then it is important to expose them to the notion of God. This doesn't seem logical. If a belief is not natural, unless we are exposed to it at a very early age, then doesn't this constitute a form of brainwashing? If the truth of God is so real, then why do children have to have those values pushed on them when they are young ? Isn't it better to discover Truth than have it shoved down ones throat?

I think you are being too kind, and you are not seeing the underlying problem here. I think your ex is putting this on you to get back into your life and emotions. If he is truly going through a depression and you really want to help, advise him to see a professional. You are not a psychologist, and you cannot fix his problems. He needs a doctors help. You can give him the phone number for a suicide hotline or other help agencies. If you do decide to intervene yourself, I would definitely talk to your current boyfriend about it and ask him to help you in talking with him. Your ex needs to know that you are happy with your new boyfriend and he will be part of your life. If your new bf is bothered by this, I would say its understandable, but hopefully he will be willing to help you with it. You cannot blame yourself for whatever may happen in the future, and I think its completely wrong for your ex to involve you in such problems. I would say its just a tool for getting your attention again, really. I have been through similar situations before.

I've. Been married for two years, and my husband has a five year old son. Before we got married I met him and noticed right away that he was very disrespectful and had no manners. I wanted to help my husband raise him because he trys to be his friend, but that boy needs a father since his mom is never there for him. 'Soot' as a serious cause of warming...... as much or more than greenhouse ges?

It certainly seems plausible to me. The good news is that soot is relatively short lived in the atmosphere. The bad news that China and India (especially) need to clean up their act. I have never been one to ume that humans are too insignificant to affect the climate. In fact I think we have probably emitted more CO2 than is responsible for the 100 ppmV which is the approximate increase in the last 100 years. I am simply extremely skeptical that CO2 is causing significant or hamful warming. The effects of soot is just one of many factors that are poorly understood. I wouldn't know if it is more or less and probably has wide local variation. Obviously a lot of soot is natural from fires.

I think Anderson is very inconsistent and Cel just plain out sucks, I would start Jeff Garcia because he has performed well and Seattle has a horrible D and I think Garcia will be the top performer. I've been using clean and clear advantage facial cleanser for two weeks now and things have just been getting worse. Movies with only 10 or 20 minutes of it being in 3d are only when the 3d version is playing at Imax and only at imax. I guess Imax does the convertion and plays it only in their theaters. So far if a 3d movie is playing in regular theaters in 3d then the whole movie is in 3d. Avatar, which comes out in december and is 3d for the whole time, is playing in 3d at imax but it will also be 3d in regular theaters as well, not just imax only.

THE OFFICE :), Gilmore Girls, and Friends... I haven't watched Friends or Gilmore Girls in forever but those are just non-violent cute shows...they don't make you think real hard...not a complicated story-line. It could be a post-traumatic response, but it's not PTSD. PTSD only occurs after a person has lived through a traumatic incident in which their own life has been threatened or in which another person has literally died. This is actually a fairly normal reaction you are having and it will get better with time. Just be patient and try to distance your mind from the incident. Lingering on thoughts of it will only make matters worse. Good luck.
