Is it possible to go to university for free?

Only, I am living with my mom of whom is a single parent and earns less than �25,000 a year, i heard that in this cirstance that it is possible to be subsidised and go to university for free and i was wondering if that was true and what is available whether it is all paid for or some parts only this affects whether i live at home or not.
