What is the cost to treat an overjet bite?

I am not sure if the cost is reasonable. The treatment sounds really extensive though. If you had injections when your onlay was fixed it could make your muscles swollen on that side for a few weaks from trauma also, staying open for a long time could have stressed your TMJ. I would definatly get a 2nd opinion before shelling out all that money and time. It sounds like a tmj flare up to me. What we do in my office is anti inflammatories, mild muscle relaxant for 2weeks. Self TMJ mage daily, Bite splint, and evaluation of the bite. What your doctor is recommending sounds new to me. I too have an overjet and went to an orthodontist to see of braces would help and he told me no. GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!!!!!
