Windows Xp Volume control Problem?

somehow my volume control panel dissappeared from my Pc i tried all methods of fixing it but i think the program got deleted i don don't have the cd that came with my PC to restore it but i have an image file made using norton ghost. this image file has all the files that were in my pc when i bought it i had made this copy just in case i lost the cd. the problem is that i don't know where in this image file will the software or image for the volume control is i tought about restoring my whole pc using this image file but i don't know how so can anyone plz tell me where would the file for the volume control is in this image file or how can i use this image to restart my pc i don't care if i hav to download all the programs i just need to get that program back because my speakers don't hav enough volume like before.?
