Marvel Knights question?

Marvel Knights is a marvel comic series about a group of super heroes who work together towards a common goal. Dagger is with them and so is cloak. I am trying to find out is the Marvel Knights part of the Earth 616 (there main continuity) or is it held in another continuity entirely (another Universe). I have been unable to find something definitive that states whether it's in the original marvel universe or in another one.
