Have the evolutionists shot themselves in the foot?

Certainly there are quite a few problems with the evolution theory of mans origin and it's changing all the time as more evidence is uncovered revealing more information. The time it took human beings to evolve seems to have been hugely underestimated. It must be really difficult figuring out how long in took to progress from one stage to another when they don't have all the pieces. To have absolute faith that the current evolution theory is perfect is madness. It's a frame work on which to build a more complex and co herent theory leading, hopefully one day, to Evolution the Facts.
