How do i get the chime to stop when i start my car. it keeps chiming away the hole time car is running.?

1994 mazda protoge.went thru high water.flooded and had pulled out and let all dry out and got started but for some reason the chime or beeping noise that goes off everytime you start it stays on now and wont quit until you kill car.what needs to be done about this
